Anne-Marie Fink Named to Pensions & Investments' 2024 Influential Women in Institutional Investing List

SWIB Private Markets Funds Alpha Chief Investment Officer Anne-Marie Fink has been selected

as one of 60 women on this year’s Pensions & Investments’ Influential Women in Institutional Investing (IWII) list.


The list is made up of women nominated by colleagues and industry advocates for their contributions and potential. The honorees have not only excelled in their respective roles but have also demonstrated a profound commitment to elevating the industry to greater heights with tireless service and unwavering dedication.


Fink manages 29 investment and 12 operations professionals across eight lines of business with an aggregate $73 billion under management. Since joining SWIB in 2020, her teams have added over $3.6 billion in outperformance for the Wisconsin Retirement System.


“It is an honor to be included on this list of exceptional women who are being recognized not only for the results they have produced in managing capital, but for paving the way for other women to succeed in the financial industry,” Fink said.  


SWIB Executive Director/Chief Investment Officer Edwin Denson said Fink’s work has helped elevate women and drive change.


“She is an innovative leader who has accomplished great things while serving as a role model for other women in our industry,” Denson said.


Fink has more than two decades of investment management experience, both in the public and private sectors. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia University Business School.


Fink and the other members of the IWII list will be honored at the 2nd annual Influential Women in Institutional Investing awards and conference in Chicago on Thursday, Sept. 12.
