Business Integration Intern
My family has a long history with the WRS, as my parents and grandparents are beneficiaries. When my grandmother asked me about my SWIB internship, I proudly told her about the work I have done for Wisconsin’s public employees. As a retired public schoolteacher, she expressed her gratitude for the WRS and her pride in my work for such an honorable agency. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of one state’s residents through my work at SWIB.
Vendor Management Intern
SWIB offers opportunities as a state agency and world-class pension fund that differentiate from a traditional internship experience. Interns are exposed to the innovative investment strategies that contribute to the success of the WRS and other state funds. The agency also creates an environment that allows interns to network with and learn from staff across all areas of the business while making valuable contributions to their teams.

My manager was a great mentor and had everything well structured and set up so that I could participate in projects like a true member of the team; especially when my work was used in actual applications!
