Contract and Procurement
SWIB uses consultants for investment manager search processes. Contact information for each investment area is linked to the headings below. Business RFPs that are not managed by consultants will be posted on the Business Opportunities page of this website.  We encourage those who are interested to participate in our contract and procurement process using the information below.

Public Markets (including hedge funds) - SWIB utilizes two consultants when searching for public equities and public fixed income managers and a separate consultant for hedge fund manager searches. We select our consultants depending upon the nature of the search.

Private Equity - SWIB utilizes a private equity consultant and requires a completed Private Placement Memorandum (PPM) be sent to the attention of the portfolio manager and our consultant for consideration. Information about SWIB's private equity investing process and placement agent policy is available by clicking here.

Real Estate - SWIB utilizes a real estate consultant when searching for investments in this asset class.

Minority Broker Program
Wisconsin statute (ยง. 25.185) encourages the Investment Board to devote 5 percent of its equity brokerage commission, each fiscal year, to minority-owned financial advisers and investment firms. SWIB must maintain its fiduciary responsibility by contracting with firms that provide the best quality when managing trust funds. Information about SWIB's minority broker program is available by clicking here.

Business Loans for Wisconsin Companies
Wisconsin businesses seeking financing through the Wisconsin Private Debt Program should review criteria and contact information. SWIB will consider providing financing primarily to businesses headquartered in Wisconsin, operating in Wisconsin or intending to invest proceeds in Wisconsin.
